Qube Disco, Via di Portonaccio, Roma, Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, Italy
Shows and cross-contaminations, synergy, and many locations—art in its most diverse forms. MArteLive, the Total Show, defies any single definition. It returns on October 22 and 23 as part of the MArteLive Biennale 2024, serving as the central core of the event and featuring its original format, which has characterized the festival since 2001.
MArteLive, the Total Show, represents the multidisciplinary and multi-artist event that fully embodies the MArteLive universe: the simultaneous presentation and hybridization of arts, merging into a single synergistic event, composed of multiple performances in different spaces within the same venue. This year, the stage for the Total Show will once again be Qube in Rome, a post-industrial location whose diverse and multifaceted spaces make it perfect for hosting a festival of this kind.
For the occasion, special guests have been invited—including Fulu Miziki, Dutch Nazari, North of Loreto, Sibode Dj, Lamante, James Holden, Malatesta, James LaVelle, Tropea, Bebo from Lo Stato Sociale, Nobraino, Colombre, Max Passante, Free Love, Lowtopic, and over 300 other competing artists selected from more than 1,500 submissions—who will perform simultaneously, distributed across the event’s 16 sections: music, DJ/producer, theater, dance, contemporary circus, literature, painting, photography, digital illustration, street art, sculpture, craftsmanship, fashion, video art, short films, and music videos.
For three days, Qube, the nightlife temple of subcultures and music, will come alive with synergies and performative connections. In previous editions, it has already transformed its spaces in ever-changing ways. With the alternating and simultaneous performances of the artists involved, something unique and unrepeatable will be created, embodying the "constant evolution" of artistic production, precisely by playing with the spaces and levels of the venue itself.
The XXIV National Edition of MArteLive will take place at Qube. In nearly a quarter of a century, thousands of young artists have been selected, gaining visibility and concrete opportunities to develop their projects and put themselves to the test.
